Ever
lost that serial number you just entered into an
application?
Ever wondered how a OS X Application works? Ever wonder how an application stores your preferences? Here is an article on how to find the preference file, launch list editor.
Required applications:
⁃ Appzapper
⁃ OS X
⁃ (update) OSX DEVELOPER INSTALL
⁃
⁃ Open Appzapper. You do not need to even zap anything. You just have to use it to find the preference file.
⁃
⁃ Once open, drag your desired application to it. It should find a file like:
⁃ com.website.application.plist
⁃
⁃ Now, press the magnifying glass to reveal the file. If you double click in my system, it opens "Property List Editor" (Comes with developer install)
⁃
⁃ Now you can change any preference.
⁃
⁃ Note: Before editing the Plist file, it is a good idea to make a full copy of the file before editing it.
